Dr. Tachmes also performs facial procedures with the same precision and care. Born in Havana, Cuba, and fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Tachmes brings a rich cultural perspective and the ability to connect with a diverse patient community. His medical journey began with a BS degree from Duke University, followed by his MD from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. His surgical training is distinguished by elite programs, including a fellowship in Plastic Surgery of the Breast and Reconstructive Microsurgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Chicago Hospital, and earlier training in general surgery and microsurgery at leading institutions in New York.
